There is a way of moving that comes from pressure, control and overthinking. And there is a way of moving that comes from curiosity, expression and trust. Maybe you have only known the first. The Creative Body exists for the second! I invite you to (re)connect with your body not as something to fix, but as a source of creativity, joy and expression!

The Idea
The Creative Body is a space where your creative movement practice can develop through clarity, playfulness and expression. Instead of focusing on pressure, performance and getting it right, you will learn to cultivate a practice and build a relationship with your body that feels real and sustainable.
Why I started The Creative Body
For a long time, my relationship with dance was not what it looked like from the outside.
I had been dancing and teaching for over 20 years. I was researching dance and even being paid to write a PhD on a dance related topic.
And still, something didn’t feel right.
My movement was filled with insecurity and fear, just like the way I saw myself. I knew how to follow choreography, but I didn’t know how to trust my own body.
Looking back, there was little space for my expression. For my history, my pains, my contradictions. Little space for creativity to arise.
My practice didn’t feel like a practice because it depended too much on other people’s input and ideas of what dance should be.
Until I reached a point where I almost stopped dancing completely.
What changed everything was not learning more choreography or taking more classes but discovering that movement could be generous.
That movement could include everything: my energy (or lack of it), my emotions, my pain, my curiosity, my history as a Brazilian living in Berlin.
I stepped into a more open way of learning movement, and this expanded my map: of my body, and of how I see myself. I began to move with more clarity, combining structure and playfulness, building a practice that supports my life every day. This obviously justed change my movement, but it mostly changed my relationship to myself, to the world, and to how I want to move in 20, 30 years.

Schedule and replays
📅 We meet live on ZOOM usually Wednesday and Friday for 45-60 minutes. The schedule shifts now and them to adapt different time zones. Mostly we practice either at 7:00, 9:00 or 12:00 (CET). 📅 Even if you can't join live, you have access to our whole library of videos!
Your Investment
🎯 For you to notice a shift in yourself, the minimum commitment is 6 months. After that you can renew your subscription monthly, every 6 months or yearly.
